Rabbit Roadmap Consulting Inc.

FAQ

What size of organization do you typically work with?

We partner with small to mid-sized organizations and professional offices that may not have the budget for a full in-house IT department and CIO. Our services are designed to provide the expertise and strategic guidance you need without the overhead of a large internal team, allowing smaller organizations to access enterprise-level IT strategy at scale.

Do you provide hardware and software procurement?

Yes, we can handle hardware and software procurement on your behalf. From servers, workstations, and networking equipment to security software, we work with trusted vendors to source technology for you.

How does your virtual CIO service work?

Our virtual CIO service gives your organization access to experienced IT leadership without the cost of a full-time executive. We take the time to understand your organizational goals, challenges, and existing technology stack, then work with you to create a strategic roadmap planning document that aligns IT initiatives with your long-term objectives. Most of our clients review this document on a quarterly basis, ensuring it stays up to date as your organizational and technology needs evolve.

What is a disaster recovery runbook, and do I really need one?

A disaster recovery runbook is a step-by-step guide that outlines exactly how your organization will respond to and recover from unexpected IT disruptions such as hardware failures, cyberattacks, or natural disasters. It includes detailed procedures for restoring systems, recovering data, and resuming normal operations as quickly as possible. This goes beyond simply taking backups – it ensures you have a clear and comprehensive instruction manual to follow during a crisis, minimizing downtime.

Can you help us plan and budget for future infrastructure upgrades and replacements?

Yes, that’s a core part of our service! Our strategic roadmap plans are designed to look several years ahead, identifying upcoming hardware refresh requirements, end-of-support dates for critical systems, and other key milestones. We also provide approximate costs for these future needs, giving you the visibility to budget effectively and avoid unexpected expenses wherever possible.

Do you offer remote support, or do you only serve organizations in Winnipeg?

Most of our services can be offered remotely to clients across Manitoba and Canada.

How long are your agreements?

Our managed services agreements are a minimum one year in length. We don’t charge setup or administration fees, and truly take time to get to know your organization – meaning we’re also investing time and resources into building a strong partnership from day one. Discounts are available for longer commitments.

What happens if I need to change my agreement?

We understand that your IT needs may evolve during the course of your agreement. If you’d like to add additional services, we can add them at any time and they will be prorated through the end of your current agreement. However, services cannot be removed during the agreement – at renewal, we’ll work with you to make any necessary adjustments for the next term.

Do you support not-for-profit organizations?

Absolutely. We value the important work not-for-profit organizations perform in our community, and encourage you to reach out so we can design a customized service package that aligns with your needs and budget.
